Remembering all the wonderful dolls she had made for me, I started to develop my own creations. I enjoy making humorous and whimsical characters, focussing on each one and giving them personality through details in their expressions. My tastes have evolved over the years taking me from primitive, to Victorian to funky. I love working with new fabrics, bright colours and new textiles. My cats, angels and Santas are all embellished in an original way, making them one-of-a-kind. I won't be on the Country Home Christmas tour this year but will hopefully be returning next year with a whole host of new whimsical characters. In the meantime you can find some of my Halloween creations at Picket Fence Fabrics located at 71 King St. West (at St. Andrew)in Brockville, Ontario. |
