For inspiration I use the charms of a small town, the beauty of the Thousand Islands and the many interesting people I have met over the years. Although I enjoy doing portraits most, I have great fun with many other subjects. Experimenting with colour, light, shadow and reflection I try to have realism in my work while still capturing the character and style of my subject. With all my paintings I try to draw out a memory or emotion from the viewer, making it special and unique for everyone. I am a self-taught artist, favourite mediums are watercolour, acrylic and pencil. I will do commissions on request. |
